Established in 2007 G.C., the Department of Accounting and Finance at Debre Markos University is committed to excellence in teaching and learning, research, and community engagement. Over the years, the Department has evolved into an important academic center dedicated to addressing the evolving accounting, financial, and managerial needs of Ethiopia’s economy and contributing to the development of competent professionals and responsible citizens.
The Department offers academic programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Currently, it offers a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Degree in Accounting and Finance through both Regular and Extension modalities, as well as a Master of Science (MSc) Degree in Accounting and Finance.
The Department is supported by a highly qualified, dedicated, and diverse academic staff committed to academic excellence, professional development, and scholarly contribution. the Department has sufficient academic staff members, bringing together extensive professional experience, academic expertise, and emerging scholarly capacity.
