The Department of Economics is committed to practical academic excellence, policy-driven research, and community-driven solutions. We offer a BA in Economics alongside specialized postgraduate programs: an MSc in Development Economics and an MSc in Project Planning and Management. Our curricula blend strong theoretical foundations with applied quantitative tools, hands-on project management, and data-driven analysis. Supported by diverse faculty expertise in Resource and Environmental Economics, Development Economics, International Economics, and Macroeconomic Policy Analysis, our applied research addresses critical socio-economic and policy challenges to prepare industry-ready graduates for Ethiopia and beyond.
