Business and Economics  

The College of Business and Economics at Debre Markos University was established in the 2007/08 academic year with the mission of producing competent professionals in business and economics. Since its establishment, the College has grown significantly in terms of academic programs, student enrollment, faculty, and institutional capacity.

The College currently offers undergraduate programs in Accounting and Finance, Management, and Economics, as well as postgraduate programs in Accounting and Finance, Business Administration (MBA), Development Economics, and Project Planning and Management through various modalities.

The College is committed to excellence in practice-oriented education, applied research, entrepreneurship, and community engagement. Through its academic programs, the College strives to produce competent, ethical, innovative, and entrepreneurial graduates equipped with the knowledge, skills, and mindset to create employment opportunities, respond to emerging business challenges, and contribute to local, regional and national socio-economic development.
