Dr. Abebe Birhanu Ayele is an Assistant Professor of Accounting and Finance at the College of Business and Economics, Debre Markos University, Ethiopia. He earned his Ph.D. in Accounting and Finance from Panjab University, Chandigarh, India, with a research focus on financial inclusion and its implications for corporate social responsibility, bank performance, and stability in Ethiopia. He also holds an MSc in Finance and Investment and a BED in Business Education with Banking and Insurance specialization from Mekelle University.
With over 15 years of academic experience, Dr. Abebe has taught a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses and supervised more than 20 graduate theses. He has strong research interest in Finance, Accounting, Financial Institutions and Markets. His previous roles include Lecturer and Department Head at Debre Markos University and Lecturer at Aksum University. He has also participated in several research projects and community service initiatives, securing funding for studies on various areas.
Dr. Abebe has published in reputable journals and presented at national and international conferences. He serves as a reviewer for academic journals, an external examiner of graduate theses in different Universities, and a contributor to national curriculum development efforts.
