Dr Degu Kefale Chanie is an Assistant Professor at Debre Markos University with over 15 years of experience in teaching and research. Since April 2026, he has served as Vice Dean of the College of Business and Economics. In his teaching career, he taught major accounting and finance courses to both undergraduate and graduate students. He has written and published more than five articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals. In addition, he guided more than thirty students in doing their master’s theses. He holds a PhD in Accounting and Finance. Now, he has won and is working on a half-million ETB research project on environmental accounting and sustainability with his colleagues at Debre Markos University, in addition to his duties of teaching and guiding students. He continues to inspire students and contribute to advancements in accounting and finance education.
