Megbaru Tesfaw Molla (PhD) is an Assistant Professor of Accounting and Finance at Debre Markos University, Ethiopia, bringing over 18 years of higher education experience across teaching, research, community engagement, and academic leadership. Beginning his academic career in 2008, he holds a PhD in Accounting and Finance from Punjabi University, India (2025), an MSc in Finance and Investment from Mekelle University (2011), and a BEd in Accounting from Adama University (2008). Throughout his career, Dr. Megbaru has held key institutional roles including Department Head of Accounting and Finance while actively mentoring and supervising both undergraduate and postgraduate Students. An established scholar, he has published nine papers in peer-reviewed journals. His primary research interests encompass risk management, financial performance analysis, non-bank financial intermediaries, microfinance institutions, and small and medium enterprise (SME) development in emerging economies.
